Results of the Wednesday morning walk at Papermill Trail

This morning six folks met to walk Lisbon's Papermill Trail. Rain was
light until we started to walk then the rain became more steady. As we
walked, it began raining harder. So we turned around after a bit more
than half the trail and as we reached the cars the rain slowed down, but
it was too late.

We did see a few birds. A Baltimore Oriole sang persistently near the
parking lot of gave us good views. We also saw a Herring Gull, Robins,
Common Grackles, and a Chickadee. We heard a Belted Kingfisher, a Veery,
and wood-warblers: Black-throated Green, Yellow, Common Yellowthroat,
and Black-and-white. At least Susan was able to point out a number of
plants, flowering and non-flowering, of interest in the rain.

Hope for better weather in two weeks and join us at Auburn's
Alexander-Harkins Preserve.
