BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Sue Hayward

SUSAN HAYWARD, President

Susan is self-employed as an environmental educator and naturalist. Since 1985 she has dedicated herself to the revitalization of Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary in Lewiston and the growth of the Stanton Bird Club within the community. She and her husband Tom are now officially 'empty-nesters' with Jamie in Boston with IBM, and Abby on the road as an actor. When she is not at Thorncrag or at a meeting in town representing the Club, Susan can be found in her garden tending the six perennial borders that are constantly changing, or in a bog in Wayne monitoring a rare orchid for Maine, or kayaking a quiet waterway.
