A New England war with no European counterpart. The English had finally learned how to defend themselves in the Coastal communities. This allowed them to go on the offensive. The Abenaki suffered several major set backs and lost their beloved Priest, Father Railes.
1723, Jun.21-Aug.15 Raid Casco Bay ME five whites are slain by the Indians at Casco including Capt. Watkins of Piscataqua; seven of the Indians are decoyed and held aboard the sloop "Endeavour"; their return is demanded on the threat of war by Francis Brier (Indian) [probably Francois Xavier -nl]  
1724, Aug English Attack Village Norridgewock ME Jesuit Priest & Many Abenaki killed  
1725, Apr Reports NH scouting up the Merrimack River for the Indians, Eleazer Tyng and his men came upon deserted camps, disused carrying places, peeled trees and other signs of them

1727, Jun.21 committee appointed Boston to meet with the Kennebeck, Wawenock and Aresgontacook Indians to ratify a treaty between them and the Penobscot Indians and to settle the question of the Eastern Lands as far as possible to the satisfaction of the said tribes  
1727, Jul.11-Aug.3 Conference & Treaty ? Sabatis, requested the English keep supplies at Brunswick, saying, "in cold winters and deep snows, my men unable to go to fort Richmond, sometimes suffer." and the appointment of Captain Gyles astruckmaster  
1727/1728, Jan.1-2 Proposal ME A proposal from John Gyles to compensate Francis Xavier (Indian), for the gifts he sent to the Arresaguntacooks
