Odanak School Children about 1900 ???
Can anyone out there help us identify the school,
time period, or any of the people in this picture?
The picture belonged to Mathilda (Benedict) de Gonzague (1893-1968). We believe it is of school children at or near Odanak PQ sometime in the early 1900's. There is a high resolution version of this picture [long load time!] you can view if you believe you may be able to identify the photo.
- We believe the boy in the center may be Chauncey Benedict
- if so, the photo would be about 1898-1901.
- The girl on the left and the boy on the right are children found in
another unidentified photo and possibly members of the Lagrave family.
