Birch Bark Basket by Hanna Susup
Two views of a beautiful birch bark basket made by Hanna Susup. Hanna was the wife of Pierre Paul "Perepol". Her christian name was probably Anne Joseph. She and her husband were well known by the early settlers of the Livermore and Farmington region in Maine. This basket was given to William Lockhart's grandmother by Hanna, sometime in the late 1700's.
