Dr. Joseph A. Masta, aged 79 years, died last evening at his home, 82 Varney Street. He had been a resident of this city for about 50 years, having come here from Barton, VT. He aquired considerable reputation as a botanic physician.

The funeral of the late Dr. Joseph A. Masta took place yesterday afternoon from his late home on Varney Street, services being conducted by Rev. F. D. George of the Mt. Vernon Free Baptist Church. Burial was in the Edson Cemetery.
