DR. NEWALL,THE NATIVEINDIAN DOCTOR,Most respectfully offers his services in the Original Indian |
Healing Art, to the sick and afflicted in this vicinity. Dr. Newell may be consulted at the Indian Encampment in this place, Where he will remain for a short time and furnish those in want of Medicine enough to cure them. Dr. N.'s healing skill is original, having come down many generations. Should Physicians speak evil of the Doctor's practice, pay no attention to what they say, for in so doing they speak evil of what they do not understand. What does the white man know of the Original Indian practice as it existed 400 years ago, and as it now exists! They know but little. Dr. N. thinks that there are many good Doctors among his white friends, but does not believe they cure all diseases as they pretend. He does not pretend to cure all diseases, but can cure many. The Great Spirit is kind - he has taught his creatures to know what is good for them. - The real Natives of America have learned many good Medicines from the Beasts, Fowls, Fishes, and even from the insignificant Insects themselves. Dr. Newell has Medicines for the under-mentioned diseases, viz:
COSTIVENESS, INDIGESTION, DYSPEPSIA, FLATULENCY, HEADACHE, Cold Stomach, Cough, Pain in the Stomach, Jaundice, Dropsy, Stranguary, &c.
In all diseases Incident to Females, in particular, the superior efficacy of Dr. Newell's Medi- cines has been long tested and highly appreciated.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE WILL BE GIVEN WITH THE MEDICINES.
A white Doctor says that his Medicines made from one Root cure all diseases, but Dr. Newall does not believe it, for there are many white Doctors who say they learnt from the Indian Doctors the art of doctoring in the Indian way, when in fact they know nothing about it. They advertise largely what they can do, and put on the Indian name: but when called upon for a trial, it is found they are very different from the genuine Indian Doctor, and that their seeming knowledge is nothing but false pretension.
